Hi all,

I've found that we're pampers purists, after trying all available name/store brands, it just seems like pampers works best for little G. And of course, they seem to be the most expensive diaper brand and not available at Costco, sigh.

How did/do you save money on diapers? Did you subscribe to Amazon Mom? I have concerns b/c it says "save 20% on SELECT diapers and wipes" - so if the discount isn't available on pampers, I'm not sure it's worth it for us.

We don't use wipes b/c of G's sensitive bum, we use wet paper towels, so I'm really only interested in the diapers part.

If you didn't/don't use Amazon Mom - how have you saved money on diapers?

TIA!

If you are looking to get out this week St Sebastian's festival on McKnight/Siebert Road has started. 6:30-10 every night & Saturday; 11 pm on Friday. They have rides, games, food booths, flea market & best of all... farmers market. Good cheap produce & veggies. I'll admit parking is a pain but options are the Holiday Inn and walk across (there is a path), or offsite shuttle service at the old Chi Chi's.

Maybe this is a silly question, but is there a way to practice listening skills with a 5-yr old? (Preferably before I need to buy stock in hair coloring?)

We're currently in the "let's play 200 silly questions" today, but he doesn't want to listen. As a background, DS was diagnosed with a mild form of ADHD last year (the hyperactivity and attention deficit spectrums mainly). As he's matured, we've seen a great improvement, but now seem to have taken a step back in the past few weeks.

I think my breaking point was when I asked him to get me the "green towel from the bathroom sink" and he came back with the brown towel from the kitchen sink. In retrospect, it's a minor detail, but this is just part of a series of lack of listening issues we are having. (Like me telling him not to touch something in the store 5x and then physically pulling him away from the object as he continued to bang it.)

I'm nervous for Kindergarten and him not listening to the teacher - which will, inevitably, get him into trouble. Help?

It has been a really long time since I've been to Kennywood. Do they have rental lockers you can put things in...like a small lunch cooler and towels? DH wants us to have a kid-free amusement park day next weekend and I'll be a trooper and go along. I've never really found amusement parks all that amusing. Give me a historic battle field tour any day...lol!

It has also been 8 years since I've gone to an amusement park so I hope my opinion has changed a little bit. I'm excited for kid-free time with my DH though!

I'm an avid couponer and I know they do not accept coupons, so I'm really trying to figure out if the membership + their pricing will actually pay off.

Any input would be great, Thanks!

So our house has been on the market for 2 weeks. I hope you can follow what predictament we are in currently.

Our RE has two listings currently. Listing A - Our TH, Listing B - SF in the same school district.

We had an open house this past Sunday. 3 groups came through. Feedback from one of the groups is that they would love to buy our house but they would never qualify for what we are asking.

Now we come to yesterday. We finally got our stake in the yard sign so I let our RE know it arrived. So here we are, cleaning up from dinner and notice that the temp sign is now across the street leaned up against our neighbors trash cans. So I call the RE to tell her what is going on. She proceeds to tell me that she is across the street talking to our neighbors and that she will stop over in a few.

She stops over and tells us that our neighbors, who have only been in their TH since January, are lookig to sel their house and buy her other listing. I then proceed to say (kidding around).. "Oh yeah we thought they wanted to buy our house.." She then proceeds to say that they would love to buy our house if they could afford it.

So after the conversation, we now think that the one couple that came through on our house was our neighbors and after talking with them she mentioned her other listing (which is listing at <50,000 then ours) and they are putting a continigent offer on the other listing based on selling their house.

Now we are concerned that she is going to benefit more from the sale of their house because she will then sell listing B in turn.

My husband is beyond furious about this. I am annoyed and hurt some but I realize that selling home etc. is how our RE makes a living so I can not slight her for taking them on as clients and listing their house. I just want to make sure she still working for us. So far in the 2 weeks of listing we have had 4 showings and 3 groups through at the open house. I know we should talk with her first but how would you feel? What would you do?

I think I will mention to her how I feel and make her know that if we feel in the slightest that she isn't working for us, I would not hesitate to ask for another agent or even go as far as taking our house off the market. We aren't in a serious rush to move.. we don't already have our next home.

I have my 2 boys and it has been so hot lately. I wish we could go jump in our apartment pool. But I can't do that alone with both kids and since we do live in an apartment I dont have access to a hose to just let them run around under. They love playing in water though...I'm sure they miss their water table that we left at grandma's house because we moved into the apartment.

Edit- I'm Right off 376 in Forest Hills.
