Early Christmas Presents for Us!
I'm so excited! Jim and I decided to take advantage of all the great sales this weekend and we got a couple of things that we've been wanting/needing. We got an LG frontloader washer and dryer (charcoal grey...very sexy...lol!) and we got a Nikon D60 camera! I guess they are kinda like early Christmas presents for the family.
If you have frontloaders... Do you use the detergent specifically made for them or do you just use regular? I JUST opened a HUGE container of Tide that I got at Costco and hate to not use it. I plan to get the other stuff in the future, but do you think it would be okay for me to use what I have first?
Re: Early Christmas Presents for Us!
Yay for the new goodies! You'll love the new camera!!!
One note about the front loading washer...Did it come with a stabilizing kit? It looks like 4 long plastic bolts (usually yellow)....it's used during a move to stabilize the washer....so that it doesn't get thrown off during a move. If it came with one, definitely hang on to it if you guys ever plan to relocate. It will save money on the move!
Yes, it did come with that kit. Jim was explaining to me what it is and told me to make sure I don't throw it away. Thanks!
Thanks everyone... I read the manual again and it did say that the HE detergent is recommended b/c it cuts down on suds. I think it also said something about using 1/2 the regular stuff. I think I'm going to finish what I have and just use 1/2. It will take me FOREVER to use all of it, but eventually I'll switch to the HE stuff. Thanks!
One more thing...the sales lady said that you are not supposed to use fabric softener sheets in the dryer b/c it can mess up the sensors. (Mine has a sensor setting that you can use where it senses when the clothes are dry and shuts off.) Not sure if this is true for all frontloaders or not. Anyone heard of this? I love fabric softener sheets!
Yay for early Christmas. We also took advantage of the sales and bought a new TV. We are loving it. We just got home from out of town for the holiday and can't decide what we want to watch first. LOL!
I hope ya'll enjoy your new goodies! Oh and Merry Christmas!!
