OMG.?
I was on my way to pick up Hannah at her gym class and the darn thing ran right out in front of me. ?I slammed on brakes and swerved but I still hit her. ?:( ?Poor deer and poor new car. ?:(?
Re: I just hit a deer.
OMG. Steph, that definitely sux!!! How bad is your car?? Ry can fix it for you if you want him too, afterall, that's what he does.
awh Steph that sucks, but I'm glad you're ok. Sorry about the car. Growing up on a secluded road I ALWAYS feared for this to happen to me. They are all over Tallahassee. Brad hit an animal on our way back from the Ham Sat night and he felt so guilty. No major damage though thankfully and my car isn't new.
But how awesome is Casie to offer up Ry's services - I'm sure he'd be MUCH better and more reasonable than taking it somewhere else!!!!

oh, the poor deer. I don't think I'll ever get that image out of my head. When I pulled over I looked back and saw her laying in the road moving around but she died right after that. A guy stopped to check on me and he pulled her out of the road. I felt horrible but I did everything I could short of running off of a cliff to avoid hitting her.
Well, look at it this way. You know the deer didn't run off into the woods and is suffering. I know its kind of morbid to say that. And I know its really hard to avoid them sometimes. I wonder how I manage to miss them everyday that I leave work and drive thru Oak Mountain State Park. But I can usually see the eyeshine in time. Sometimes they just dart outta the woods without warning and there's just nothing you can do.
Glad you're ok tho and don't have too much damage to your car and that your daughter wasn't there.

Last Christmas Eve, DH and I saw a car that had a deer strapped on top of it. We joked around and said maybe they hit it and didn't want to waste it... like they were going to eat it.
