You have all seen the commerical...Lady in orange w/the knee brace..well, DH and I just bought a new fridge for $547, retailed for $1500, (Whirlpool, side by side) still had wrapping on it and one minor dent on the side bottom. (who cares, that part is up against the wall) Our current fridge was an old Kenmore. They had tons of appliances in great condition if you are in the market. Some Great, GREAT condition Washer/Dryers. And it came w/a warrenty! I am telling you..go check it out if you need an appliance!!
Re: Scratch & Dent World
I've heard both good and bad things about Scratch & Dent World and Applicance Direct (both stores are owned by the same people, the lady with the knee brace is married to the asian AD guy)
I've heard people say that if the appliance isn't in a box to be careful because the insides may have been messed with.
Haha, those 2 are actually married? My husband wondered that last weekend and I said no way. Guess its true. Do you think the lady "Lee" with the kneebrace wears a wig? Her hair is just so bad.
One of the funniest Halloween costumes I ever saw were three ladies that dressed up as that couple and their daughter. They had all the details right--the kneebrace, even the ugly plaid dress. It was hilarious.
I am more than ready for the gosh-awful scratch n dent world radio ads to stop. they make me want to pull my hair out!
<if you have a pick up truck you are the man, take it home today> ... aahhhhhh!!!!!
TELL ME ABOUT IT!! They got us to go, and we had a pick-up truck!! :-)
"LAST 1 DAY!"
I don't think they are married. I think they were from the seperate businesses and they merged the businesses together.
The asian family lives in Satellite Beach. The daughter goes to Satellite High School (or has since graduated) and plays volleyball. I saw her dad at games a lot, and he was with another asian woman. Never saw the brace lady at a game.
DH and I love to make fun of those commercials. I feel like the Asian guy is doing what some really rude people do when they're talking to a mentally challenged person - as in over-annunciating and speaking really slowly and intentionally.
"AT SCRATCH AND DENT WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
That's so funny. It always seemed like they were a family on the ads. That reminds me of the Toyota "couple." They're not married either, and the dog, Mr. Toyota, doesn't belong to either of them. LOL
