Have you ever been on TV?
I saw this on another board and thought it would be fun.
I was on a show called Grunches and Grins when I was in first grade and I've been on the news a couple of times, but just in the background.
Re: Have you ever been on TV?
Oh I remember Grunches and Grins! I forgot all about that show.
I have been on the news as well. When I was in nursing school we had clinicals at Cooper Green and Fox 6 came and did a story on student nurses. I didn't talk but I was on the screen a few times.
i was in the background of the news when i was in H.S. when they did a piece on the water being off and classes cancelled..lol
My first semester at auburn i was having lunch with a friend when they were reporting inside Foy about the investigation of a professor
and lastly hubs and i made it onto ABC's pregame show when game day was here for the AU/LSU game
Blog!
Grunches and Grins- OMG is that the show that was on APT? If so, I used to always want to be on it!! I wrote them a letter too.
I was on the Nickelodeon gameshow "guts" and I was a human trashcan for the game I was in. nice.
I have been on the news a couple of times and I was in a music video for a local band. lol Oh, and I was all over the Today Show crowd for New Year's 1997 with my big sign! Al Roker and Katie Couric even talked to me!
Man, I'm pretty famous. lol
not that I can recall but my mom has been and DH is ALL the time - he TiVo's all the games and track meets that are on TV and watches it just to see if he made it on TV. Cracks me up. When Brandon Cox was our QB and B had to "follow" him to get him to reporters he was on TV a lot.
Remember bloggers bashing someone who interupted the team prayer after a game (supposedly) to get Cox?!?! Yep, that was Brad and he said he NEVER interupted the prayer (he said what good Christian guy would!!?!!?!?) but that as they went to pray, he put his hand on Cox's shoulder so he'd know he was there and they ran to the reporters right after the prayer was over. It was kinda funny how these bloggers took it out of context.
but me, not on TV. My mom has been on for various reasons - FSU, b/c of her job being a marriage and family therapist, etc.
I danced across the screen when the local news did a story on Ann's hip-hop class.
I'm most famous (lol) for being on the front page of the newspaper when I was in highschool. Above the fold and everything. It was used for an article for Panoply where Grissom Dance had performed. The picture was me applying makeup.
I have been on local stuff a few times...nothing big.
I was in the crowd on Good Morning America in the studio and I was on TRL right behind the VJs so I was on the show (in the background and they turned to talk to me at one point) the whole time--by myself b/c my other friends backed out--yeah--I am cool....haha!
Girl... I am so jealous... I LOVED Guts when I was a kid. They show the reruns on some Nick channel these days... Scott and I watch it sometime. I wonder if I ever saw your episode? LOL
Yes! I wrote Tyro a letter and got on the show. I think I still have the tape. lol
I have been on some local news stuff when i was in the band in high school and college. But DH did a couple of commercials for Nickelodean when he was young. He even met Clarissa
btw, Emmie, i'm so jealous you were on guts!
I was on the Ann Varnum show, too! My Mom owned a baby clothing store back in the day, and Ann featured the store on her show. I was also in several ads and commercials for the store...thanks Mom! LOL
I've been on the news several times...especially in high school in my cheerleading days. They'd show us cheering every now and then.
I was on the front page of the paper once "above the fold" and everything...LOL...after I was electrocuted. Pretty scary stuff!!!! It was pretty major.
I've only been in the background on local TV news stories.. usually while I'm covering something for the newspaper. I usually try to stand in the back or get out of the way of the cameras though!
Someone told me a few weeks ago WVUA in Tuscaloosa was doing a story on Deborah Paseur, who ran for the state supreme court. Apparently they ran a long shot of me chatting with Paseur, which I thought was kind of a bad choice of footage. I mean, I am media too, but I talked to her afterward because she used to live across the street from my parents and I went to high school with her daughter! It seems like it would have been a better shot to actually show her doing something than just talking to another reporter from another news organization. oh well.
when I was like 5 years old I was on this silly morning cartoon show called "Rambling Rod". and they had a silly smile contest. but my mom and I had argued that morning (yes, I was 5 and arguing with my mom) and so I was in a bad mood and I didn't smile. I would have SOOO won the smile contest too because I was missing my two front teeth!
What store did your mom own? I'm curious because I shopped a lot at The Mark Twain shop and others...and Lauren worked at one store but now I can't remember the name of that store.
OK...I never could keep up once they moved from the mall...:)
