If you have a fabric bow tree topper...

How do you store it?

If it gets smooshed can you fluff it back up?

How do you clean it?

We are getting a bigger tree next year and I would really like to replace the second hand fiber optic (but broken) angel we have now.

Re: If you have a fabric bow tree topper...

  • hmmm....I make my bows for all of my decor, and I usually just put them all in a bag at the end of the season. I am usually able to reshape them because I make them with wired ribbon.

I have never had to clean one though....I would guess just with a damp cloth.

  • I've used the same ribbon tree topper for about three years, maybe longer. (I'm changing it next year) I've always stored all my ribbons in a big garbage bag, I don't smush them down, but during the year they can smush themselves a bit. Every year I take them out and fluff them up and they look brand new. Using wire ribbon is the trick. That outdoor velvety stuff won't hold up year after year, it wrinkles badly and you'd have to untie it and iron it and tie it again which would be too much of a pain for me. LOL Re: the stain, maybe some spray and wash on a damp bath cloth???
  • I used wired ribbon. Like Lauren said it makes them easier to fluff. I have some rubbermaid totes that I store all my ribbons in. I have ribbons for everything.
