The Shark Steam Mop ROCKS!

I got it as one of my presents and I love, love, love it!  I despise mopping...seriously, I will get on my hands and knees and spot clean before I'll full-out mop b/c I hate it so much.  But this thing is great!  You just put water in it, plug it in and go.  Our floors have never been so clean!  And clean floors are a must right now b/c Caleb is crawling all over them.  I actually might start enjoying cleaning the floors now...well, probably not...lol!

Re: The Shark Steam Mop ROCKS!

  • My mom has that mop and I love it.  She let me borrow it for a few days...cleaning my floors was exciting!  I couldn't believe how clean it got them.
  • How does it do on tile, particularly grout? I hate the look of discolored or dirty grout and even when it's sealed it is hard to clean.
  • Yeah, I know what you mean about the grout...  I would say that it cleaned the hardwood floors better than the tile floors.  It cleaned the tile itself okay, but didn't do much for the grout.  It was GREAT for the woods though!
  • Still sounds like a really great tool to have. I have been thinking about getting one for a while now. I may just have to go on and do it. :)
  • We have had one for about a year now....and it is one of the best little tools we ever bought!  I HATE trying to keep the hardwoods clean...but it makes them look like new.

Oh...one thing!!  The manufacturer suggests using only distilled water in the machine.  If you use tap water....over time the minerals in the tap water will start leaving streaks on your hardwoods!!  It is worth it to make the $1 investment in a bottle of distilled water!!

  • Ohh...I'm so jealous! That was on my wish list, but I didn't get it. I'll just have to get it myself.

  • I'm thinking about getting a bissel. I need it since I have laminates.

Oh wow!  I didn't even know they have been around that long.  I thought they were new this year...  Yes, we are using distilled water...totally worth the $1!
