They are evacuating the towns around mine because of the flooding.  I think we'll be ok, but this affects a lot of my families that attend my school.  They are saying out drinking water might be affected, but thats all we've heard so far.

I know a lot of damage was done to roads and power up north.

We have a lot of road damage.  One of the teachers at my school still can't get into her house to see how bad it is.  She will be moving in with us for a while starting Tuesday.  We are just fine and have no damage, thankfully!

Glad you don't have any damage.  And that is so sweet of you to let that other teacher stay with you.  That would be crazy to not know what you had left.  Where do you live Jen?  I know you said it's a few hours from Denver. Is it past Ft. Collins?

I live to the east of Denver in the plains of colorado. Is about 2 hrs maybe 1.5 to get to the heart of Denver. I would love for you to visit here but there is nothing to do!

Lol I grew up in the plains of Kansas. I know what it's like to live where there isn't much to do. We have been looking at suburbs and towns to the North of Denver.

I used to live in the Lakewood/Littleton area.  I can help with restaurants and places to see or go. While the people are generally a lot friendlier than they were in Denver, this would have NOT been my idea place to live.  But it is where I got a job, so here I am.  I do visit Denver every other month, if not every month.

I spent a few years living with my grandparents from 3-7 in highlands ranch area. Then we would visit every summer after that when they moved to Littleton and we were in Kansas. I love that area.
