And I feel really good about it.
I don't know exactly what I expected, but it was better. Well, mostly.
First of all- I love the center. Not just because it's less than 5 miles from our house. I love the nurses, our RE, our financial lady, everyone. They were all so welcoming and friendly, and nerve-calming.
Our nurse calls us back, and does the whole height/weight/BP thing. My BP was way high, so she tried the other arm, and said we could try after the appt, too, if needed. The other arm was much more normal, so we're good. She explained what was going to happen today: The Dr would come meet us, and then we'd go to another room, where he'd take cervical cultures, and do a vaginal ultrasound. Okay, cool. She confirmed my last AF, and I let her know I was pretty sure today was going to be CD1.
So the Dr. introduces himself, we go to the ultrasound room, and I get ready. He comes in again, and (sorry for TMI) also confirms my last AF. I told him the same thing, probably going to be at some point today. Before he's even all up in there, he's like 'Found it! You were right!' AF, meet my new RE. Yep, totally awkward. Not that he hasn't seen it all before, but still.
Anyway, ultrasound went well. Ovaries look like ovaries. He made a comment that it's too bad it isn't CD3, becasue then I could just go downstairs and do the blood work today instead of having to come back on Friday. I told him I'd rather come back Friday than have it be CD4, and have to wait for next cycle.
As he was finishing up, he told H it was time for his PAP since they didn't have any record of him having one. The nurse asked him when was the last time he had one. haha. They definitely made it less awkward, every step of the way.
After a chat with the financial lady, she scheduled us for the rest of our testing. H has his S/A on Friday (<5 miles from home means he can do it at home and drive it in...) I have my HSG on Tuesday.
After a year and a half of TTC, I'm really happy that this is all going so quickly.
So, all in all, I don't think it could have gone any better (well, besides that whole 'Found it!' business.. haha. I certainly would have preferred to be KU instead. ) H and I both walked out of there with smiles on our faces, hopeful for what's to come.
(sorry for the novel.. I am just so relieved.)

I think that was the biggest relief. That the nurse and RE and financial lady were all very personable and friendly. They all had great attitudes, and really seemed to care that we understood what was going on at all times. Maybe I've had a bad set of doctors in the past, but not all have been like that.
I also like that each doctor has their own 'team' so we have one main nurse, etc, that we'll be dealing with. It also means the team is very comfortable working together
