Hi ladies! I seems that taking this cycle off following my loss right before Thanksgiving wasn't to be. I found out Tuesday that I am pregnant again! It's been a whirlwind couple of days, so here's the rundown.
I started temping again once my loss was confirmed via drastically dropping betas (not to mention the 3 days of heavy bleeding I'd had leading up to Thanksgiving day). FF decided I O'd on December 16, then changed its mind and said it couldn't tell, then gave me back the CHs again, then took them away, again. So, I'm going by FF's guess that I O'd December 16. Since we weren't actually trying this month, I didn't record when we had ST, but I know it was within a few days before I O'd. This being the case, I figured I'd get AF on Tuesday this week, and when no sign of AF came, I decided to just go ahead and test.
And I was shocked when the ICs came up super obviously positive. I immediately called my OB's office. It was NYE day. They were closed. ARGH! I then called the RE I had just spoken with the day before and scheduled an appt with to start looking into our TTTC. I called to cancel the initial appt I had set up with them, and then asked if there was any way at all they could see me anyway, at least for some initial b/w, since my OB's office was closed. They got me in that morning at 11.
An initial u/s showed that I've got huge cysts on both my ovaries (measured today, the left one is around 6.2 cm; that's nearly 2.5 in). The RE could tell there was some tissue in my uterus, but couldn't tell conclusively if it were a sac or possibly leftover tissue from my m/c, which would mean this wouldn't be a viable pregnancy. They drew blood, and within an hour called to let me know that my betas were more than 1000! I was thrilled, but still very nervous.
This morning I had a follow-up visit. They drew more blood and did another u/s. The u/s again showed my big ol' ovaries, but this time we could clearly see a sac, much more obvious than 2 days ago. The RE could even point out a little spec of a yolk sac. It was so exciting to see that. It gave me a surge of hope.
My second betas are fantastic, appropriately doubling to 3065.
My progesterone, however, is causing me serious concern. Tuesday's progesterone level was 13.6: great. Today's was only 10.2. I'm really scared.
I'm being put on progesterone suppositories (oh joy, the mess I have to look forward to!). I will do ANYTHING, though, if it means keeping this pregnancy going.
Any T&Ps and sticky vibes you've got would be SO appreciated. I go back next Wednesday for another appt. If the RE can determine a heartbeat, she'll release me to my regular OB. I'm hoping so hard these suppositories are exactly what's needed to keep baby safe in there and growing, growing, growing!

Re: My Tentative Return to GPM
this is all such great news!! and the suppositories, while they suck, are totally worth it. they are probably just what you need to make sure that baby sticks!

Yeah, it's definitely not helpful to the nerves. Growth and no bleeding are obviously great signs though. Sorry to worry you! I just wanted to make sure you didn't worry about future numbers being low even if everything else looked good.
