So I sent an e-mail earlier this week to Chipotle. DH and I LOVE that place. We used to live in Fairfax, VA and went there often. When we moved to SC we were bummed that there was none. We sent an e-mail to Chipotle suggesting they open one here, (about a year ago) never thinking much about it.
Earlier this week I was driving down one of the main commercial roads here (Woodruff) and lo and behold, they're putting in a Chipotle!!! (I in no way think this was a result of my e-mail.) I pulled the car over, talked to the construction workers, and called my husband... We were jazzed.
That day I sent another e-mail to Chipotle saying how excited we were. I have NO IDEA why I'm sending all these e-mails to Chipotle. I know they don't care, but they have a whole customer care team just to answer e-mails. (I don't send e-mails like this to other companies, I swear.) It was most likely just the boredom of my 2 week vacation.
Anyway we got a reply
back and DH and I have been made Master Burrito Ambassadors for the new
Greenville Chipotle. I think it's a title they made up on the fly to
get me to stop e-mailing them, however we each get a free t-shirt,
special coupons, and they will periodically send us surprises by mail.
(I'm particuarly looking forward to the surprises by mail.)
I have to say, in an otherwise hum-drum day back at work, this has totally made me laugh. You may refer to me as Master Burrito Ambassador for the remainder of the day... or year. Whichever you prefer.
Oh and for the record, I highly suggest you each visit the new Woodruff Road Chipotle when it opens in March. YUM. The corn salsa is my fave.
Re: XP: I am a Master Burrito Ambassador
Too funny, but it sounds delicious!! And you know I'll have to tell DH (I just can't put his new years eve nickname here yet-lol) to refer to you two as Master Burrito Ambassadors from now on-and you know he probably will!!!
Lets plan on going once they open up-how's that sound???
Never heard of Chipotle.
You're in for a treat! It's like subway but for burritos and fajitas etc. you pick your meat, pork, chicken, beef, etc... "stuffing," rice, lettuce, tomatoes, many salsas, guac, sour cream, etc.
It's sooo good, but really filling. Eating about half of one makes me feel like I just ate a brick.
Their chips and salsas are wonderful too, and they make great salads.
