How you might put something off, or dread doing it and then wham something happens that forces you to take care of business? I have been putting off going to the dentist, I hate the dentist! But I am a little over due for my check-up yet I kept finding reasons not to make and appointment. Well last night I was eating an apple and then all of the sudden I felt something crunchy..turns out I had chipped a tiny piece off the back of one of my bottom teeth! Now how you do that on an apple I am not sure, but whatever. It has now forced me to make an appointment with the dentist.
Funny how things work
Re: Isn't it funny?
Nah it doesn't hurt...it was tiny tiny...it just feels a little strange when I run my tongue back there. I'm more afraid of the pain that it might cause to fix it lol!
Glad you're not in pain. Don't be afraid! My 8 year old cousin chipped her too big-time and they fixed it without any problems. She's pretty scary, but it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. If she can do it, you can do it. :-)
ooh hope you're ok along w/your tooth!!!!
I guess I'm in the minority here and I'm weird - I LOVE going to the dentist, plus he and his wife are friends of mine so no bother there for me. But I know most people hate it.
Yeah I always went every six months until we got married. I have been only 2 times in the 2 and a half years we have been married. That equals to not good. But I have to change dentists now since I don't live anywhere near my old and I think that is why I have been putting it off. My old dentist used to just automatically schedule you an appointment for 6 months so I didn't have to worry about it.
Maybe this new dentist will do the same thing. Then I'll be back on a regular schedule
I'm lucky that I haven't had too many dental problems..one cavity in 28 years *Knocking on wood*
I am a super big sissy about the dentist....but I had a whopper of a traumatic experience! I had to suffer through half of a root canal...and the guy could not get my tooth completely numb!! Now I just get all nervous at the thought of going. If they are going to do anything besides just clean....I have to have gas..lol!
