dr in or around hsv

hey ladies, I am in need of some help. I am having problem with my ovaries, been told I had pcos about 4 yrs ago. Been told I had ruptured cysts in the past, now I am having trouble again, so much that today I couldn't move I was in so much pain. I have seen 3 dr in athens and one in decatur, don't want to go back to any of those, couldn't get any where with treatment. Can anyone suggest a good gyno or ob dr. I was thinking about the women's clinic in hsv, but want some opinions first.

Re: dr in or around hsv

  • I went to John Cimino at the woman's clinic at Crestwood for almost 10 years.  He's really good and I think he's also a high-risk doctor.  The number to his office is 882-1717.  I don't know if they're still there, but Shannon and Amber were my favorite nurses of his and are very good and easy to talk to.  They helped me through some of my "women issues".  I hope it gets better for you!
  • I go to the Clinic for Women and I LOVE their practice.  My friend Lisa also went to them.  She moved to Atlanta and said she misses them so much!

I see Dr. DeLisle - he's a little dry but always takes the time to answer my questions.  He was great throughout my pregnancy.

They claim to specialize in infertility - not sure what drs do what there but I know that Dr. D did IUI's on my friend and gave her clomid (it's a start).

Oh and he was pro-charting too - my cycles were all honky and when I got pg, they didn't even freak out when I told them my LMP was about 2 weeks before it "should" have been

  • well not trying to get pregnant right now, just trying to quit being in pain.

I understand.  When I found out that my pain was caused by ovarian cysts, I immediately went on BCPs.  I really hope there's something that can help yours.

  • what bcp do you use if you don't mind me asking, I have tried yasmin, yaz and one other.
  • I don't have a dr here yet but I hope you get better soon!

I was on yasmin for the past 4 years and didn't have any problems. I did try ortho-tri for awhile, but had way too many symptoms for my liking from them.

  • I see Dr. Rushing at the Womens Clinic and I like him.   I have heard great things about Dr. Belmont and Dr. Wheeler there too.
  • thanks for all the help I called and made an appt at the womens clinic this morning. now just waiting until the date they can get me in.

  • I go to Dr. Callison at the tn valley obgyn its like part of the huntsville hospital and I love her.  She makes me feel comfortable and is really nice.
  • Dr. Rachel Petersen at All Women's OBGYN is who I go see.  I love her.  she's in HSV near Crestwood...she's awesome.  Good luck!
