H's grandmother passed away
MIL called about an hour ago with the news. We had an idea it was coming (she's had Alzheimer's for about 9 years and she stopped eating for a week) but it's still a shock. We're heading to B'ham this afternoon. Please pray for H and his family.

Crystal, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one even if you were expecting it. I'll pray for peace and comfort for you, your H, and family during this difficult time.

The funeral was this afternoon and it was a beautiful service done by her BIL. The weather was perfect and the funeral home was packed full of friends and family. She looked so peaceful and not at all like the woman we saw a few weeks ago. H's grandfather has been holding up pretty well considering (they were married 64 years) but FIL is planning on staying in town at least the rest of the week (he lives in Houston) to make sure his dad is ok once everything dies down. He's the one that found her..he woke up at 2am friday morning because he said he heard this beautiful angelic music coming from her room and when he wheeled himself over there he heard it was coming from her and he just sat with her until the end. She had stopped speaking, however, the last words she spoke were I Love You.
