Nashville Mexican Restaurants

Since I was already on asking about areas to stay I thought I'd ask where is the best Mexican food in town?  I don't care where it is...we will drive...but where are you fav Mexican restaurants?  Good margaritas are a must.  Thank you :)

Re: Nashville Mexican Restaurants

  • Rosepepper Cantina in East Nashville. we're headed there this weekend for my b-day dinner. i can't wait!
  • I like Rosepepper, but I don't necessarily think it's the most authentic Mexican. It has a great overall atmosphere, though.

I like La Hacienda on Nolensville. Good food and their margaritas are strong. ;-)

To be honest though, we still haven't found a Mexican place that we just *love* here (we moved here from southern California, so we're constantly searching!).

  • We like Cinco de Mayo at the corner of White Bridge and Charlotte.

In Franklin, Pancho's is one of our favorites.  It's in the K-mart shopping center on 96.   Garcia's in Franklin is a little more upscale Mexican and is also really good.

  • La Hacienda Tortillarilla No. 1 has been rated best in Nashville and is honestly the best, most authentic food I've had since moving back from Mexico.  Love it!
April is National Grilled Cheese Month. How are you celebrating? image
  • We love Cinco de Mayo too! There is one off Old Hickory Blvd too.

  • We really like the Cinco de Mayo on Old Hickory too.  Nacho's in Franklin is also pretty tasty.
  • The La Hacienda Tortilleria above is about the best in the area mainly because I can steer far away from tacos/fajitas/icky enchiladas fare.  It's pretty good (can't complain about the margaritas) but it's not mind-blowing.

Although I moved here from the NM and absolutely no Mexican food place here has been as good as the better-than-average places out there (as well as the really-good-but-against-my-better-judgment places).  If I want my fave Mexican food, I make it myself.

  • If you're looking for something a little more upscale and gourmet mexican food, Sol in Franklin is really great. And they have all different kinds of margaritas. Great fish tacos which I love :)

I like Las Palmas' (locations all over) fajita burrito too.

  • We love El Sombrero at Nolensville & Old Hickory (head south on Nolensville).  We're not Mexican experts, but the food's really good and the margaritas are great.  It's really inexpensive, so if you're ever in that part of town, stop by.

  • Rosario's in the Edgehill neighborhood (near Music Row) is good and a little less generic, but not as cheap as others. ?Fiesta Aztec is your run of the mill Mexican food, on Elliston, and I've always had good food at the Mexican food at the restaurant on the corner of Commerce & 2nd Ave downtown. ?Nothing though I've had has been spectacular.

Oh, and Lime on Broadway in Midtown is REAAAAAAALLY good. ?It's *trendy* and not Mexican food exactly, but it's super good. ?I suggest going there on a weeknight, to avoid the "look-at-me-I'm-so-fab" crowds. ?Their drinks are amazing, and the food was great.?

  • Another vote for La Hacienda!?
