My latest creation
I just gave this cake to a co-worker for his birthday. One of his favorite bands is CAKE, thus the theme (it's one of their cd covers). I made the pig and letters myself. I'm just really bummed because the 'C' broke this morning so I couldn't stand it up. Other than that though, I'm happy with my decorating progress.

I didn't make this batch as thin as I probably needed to, but I'm happy with it overall. The dark spot on the pig belly is actually the frosting from the cake starting to come through...don't know what to do about that (maybe make the pig thicker next time?)
And I'm thinking the 'C' didn't hold up like the other letters because it was curved. It was fine when I first woke up, but then about an hour later the top part had fallen off. :-(
