Yale students "art project"
has anyone discussed this? I don't want to post too much info on it as it may be disturbing especially to those who have experienced misscarriage.
However, I would love to know that other girls are as upset by this "art project" and if anyone else thinks that legal action should be taken against this girl.
Normally I am of the thought that a woman has a right to choose what she does with her body, but this just proves we need to set some limits even there.
Re: Yale students "art project"
Sandy,
I am appaled at this. All of it makes me sick but i almost vomited when I found out there is a video showing her having her miscarriages, as if it is something that people should view as art. Maybe because I just had a miscarriage I am more sensitive to it, but this whole exhibit truly enrages me. The levity in which the babie's lives are treated nauseates me. Yale should be ashamed that they are attaching their name to such an atrocity.
As I said on another board, I'm all about free expression, but this crosses the line. I don't see anything good or positive coming out of this. I don't think it is even thought-provoking. I think it will only disgust people.
As far as criminal charges, I'd say no. She wouldn't face criminal charges if she got 10 abortions over the course of her life. As far as the law goes, I don't see this as any different (speaking in terms of morals, a whole different story...)
I just saw this & could not even finish reading the article. I am so disgusted.
I am sorry but how does one justify this as art?
I'd flip out if I had a daughter who decided to use her time (and my money) at Yale to do that.....
I heard it was all fake and nothing of the such actually happened.
