New hair stylist

UGH. So I have been using the lady that I always have and driving an hour to get my hair cut. (I really like her and she knows my hair) Well I really hate spending the gas money and it's just getting to far. So I got a recommendation of a girl that does my bosses hair. She swears by her. So Wednesday I went. (She was rude and didn't really talk to me she talked to the other stylists and customers.) I was in and out in about 30 minutes and I had been letting my hair grow so it was past my shoulder and I was cutting it to the length that is in my siggy. I was getting a good 4 inches taken off. It should have took longer and she rushed me to pay b/c she had another customer so I didn't get to look at it very good. She didn't flat iron my hair or anything but blow dried it. (My hair has to have a flat iron or it looks like a hott mess lol) But anyway back to the story. Today I am looking at my hair and I notice that one side is longer than the other by about an inch and a half. On long hair it might not be that noticable but on short hair it is!!! So she is supposed to fix it tomorrow.  It ust sucks I guess I am going back to my stylist in Florence. =( At least I know she will do a great job!

I feel your pain. After trying someone in Montgomery who came highly recommended...trying her twice and having my hair screwed up both times I'm still driving back to Dothan which is over two hours away. I went down there yesterday to my wonderful hairdresser, Francine. I'm happy as I can be, I got a new layered cut and color. Never had one problem with her and have used her for many, many years. I guess gas and all it's worth it. I got highlights and a fairly complicated cut for 75.00 plus tip. You can't come close to that in Mongtomery.

I had my updo stylist cut my hair after we got back from Mexico.  It more than twice as expensive as one of my usual stylist's haircuts and it looked terrible.  My girl at Pizazz has been cutting my hair since middle school and I've never been disappointed.  And for $25, you can't beat it!

A good hairstylist is so hard to find!!!  I don't have a difficult cut but I am very picky about my color.  my hair is just a dull brown color but blond and red highlights don't look great in it, so I have mixture of low lights and caramel highlights.  I started going to a girl in Auburn when I was there and LOVED her.  But then when I moved to Montgomery I didn't want to have to drive that far so I tried a girl here that was highly recommended.  Well it didn't work out so now I drive an hour to Auburn to get my hair done!!!!  I hope she fixes it!

Girls, I feel your pain.  I've had good hairdressers and bad ones too.  My hair is naturally curly, so a lot of cuts won't work on my hair.  I had a woman one time cut it soo short, it looked like I had short curly mullet, I hated it and it was allllll messed up.  I took a pic in of the cut I wanted and my hair didn't look anything like the pic when she was done.   Good hairdressers are extremely hard to come by.  One of my best friends still drives to Mobile from Bham to get her hair done.  She gets a full overhaul when she goes to Mobile,  but she hasn't let anyone in Bham do her hair, b/c the woman she uses in Mobile does such a good job.

I hope you get it fixed! I just can't find a good hairstylist that will listen to me. I am 2 credit away from having my cosmetology license. So I know what I am talking about when I tell them stuff but they look at me like I stupid. But Johnna know what to do and she listens and won't let me leave until I am extremely happy with my cut or color. I think I am going to just dirve and hour home to get my hair done.

After everyones comments I do not feel bad about driving an hour to get my hair done. I felt like I was being too picky but now that I hear that some of you do it I don't feel so bad!
