I need bakery recs please!

I am looking for any recommendations you ladies have for bakeries. ?I need to order my son's first birthday cake and so far I can't find any one to do it that won't charge a mortgage payment for it! ?I am willing to spend more than I normally would for a cake, but within reason. ?I live in Milwaukee, but will travel to Madison, Green Bay, Chicago, etc. ?I need to find a place asap!

What kind of cake are you looking for? Pick N Save has good cakes, or I recommend Cake and Bake in Germantown. They have AWESOME Cakes

Cake and Bake in Germantown. Hands down my favorite place for cake. They made an adorable ladybug cake for DD's first birthday (chocolate cake with oreo cream filling and whipped topping frosting). Everyone raved about it.

Aggies Cakes and Pastries on Howard Avenue does fantastic cakes.

I will 2nd Aggies. I have had them do police cars, a pirate ship, a beach scene and they were all great and their cake is awesome. I am ordering a baptism cake there this week.

Aggie's is excellent, they did our wedding cake. Sam's Club, though, has really good cake - and they're cheap. I like the whipped cream frosting best.

National Bakery(20th and Oklahoma) and O&H (Racine) have great cakes, but basic. Eat Cake is a bit more artsy- and yummy too!

I will 3rd Aggies. They did our wedding cake and everyone raved about how good it was. We can't wait to get our free anniversary cake next month.
