What do you do for fun with your friends other than going to a bar?

Trying to get ideas for a girls night out and ideas for H and I to do with both of our friends.

Well I never got to the bar so this should be easy. lol.  When we go out with friends we usually go out in couples for the most part. We usually go out to dinner, the comedy club, putt putting, bowling, the movies, or just hang out at someone's house. I have done all of those with my girlfriends as well. Just this past weekend we went to the outlet malls & had a great time. Not sure if I am much help. I have never been much of a drinker.

I love being outdoors especially during this time of year, so we go to bars/restaurants and sit outside for drinks/dinner.  We also do lots of cookouts at our house or at a friend's house.  The DH and I really enjoy having drinks outside when the weather is nice. 

Something we do year round is dinner club.  There are 4 couples and we just take turns having dinner at our house.  They are usually really good dinners and usually have a theme (ex: italian, mexican, etc).

Hope that helps!  Sadly I don't have many girlfriends here in Cincy, but when I get to see my girls we usually do dinner, drinks, and movies.

cookouts.  lots of cookouts!  board game nights (dominoes Mexican Train is a great game). 

Reds Games.

Movies (Time Traveler's Wife is a good one for girls night).

Festivals (there seems to be one every single weekend if you pay attention).

Outdoor music on Fountain Square.

We love to have game nights. We will go to friends houses or have them at ours and grill out and play games. Its always fun to play team games where its guys against girls. For girls night we usually meet up for drinks then go see a movie.

We really don't do anything very exciting with our friends or just the girls though- I think b/c everyone else has kids and they don't want the spend money on a sitter.  I'm happy just going to a friend's house.  DH's friends are more willing to spend money so we've gone to dinner and a comedy club a few times.

Our favorite G2G with friends in is Game Night (all kinds- Men are from mars; women are from venus is one of the couples night favorites). This year we have purchased an ice cream maker and we LOVE making homemade ice cream and/or cooking out with friends. We've also gone canoeing, to baseball games, county fairs, shopped, dinner out, Putt-Putting, and had bon fires this summer. All have been great fun!

Not to sound snobby but we have the most disposable income of all our friends, so we normally invite everyone to our place. I will cook. For the most part BYOB. Sometimes we play board games, sometimes we play wii. Right now we mostly just talk...we also meet friends at market wines for their tasting. It is normally 3.00 a person and then we all split and do our grocery shopping.

Sometimes we go out to eat, but we tend to let our friends take the lead on that one. 

We also have a group where we get together for wine tasting and dinner. Whoever is hosting sets the theme. Sometimes we vote on the best wine. Sometimes we play guess the varietal. Some times we have the same varietal and you have to guess the country. Depending on the house each couple brings a different course or the hosts makes everything.

Everything with us pretty much revolves around drinking and eating.
