Capitol Grille or ??
I'm on my annual search for our Anniversary date night restaurant. We've tried Acorn and were disappointed. The food was ok, and the service was not so good. Watermark had excellent service and the food was pretty good, but didn't knock my socks off.
Has anyone been to the Capitol Grille lately? Is it a yea or nay?
Does anyone else have a recommendation they'd like to share?

I adore Park Cafe. Intimate, romantic, and amazing food. Just get the special, whatever it is.
I've tried Zola twice and really wanted to like it. The service was deplorable.

I agree with the other recommendations so far. Park Cafe, Zola, Tayst. All great, imo.
We haven't been yet, but I've heard great things about Miel in Sylvan Park.

I love Zola, Cafe Nonna, Park Cafe, Germantown - and especially The Yellow Porch - for special occasions. In my experience service was really good at each of them.
You also can't go wrong with Midtown Cafe or Sunset Grille - I find that time after time the service, food and atmosphere (not to mention wine selections) are impeccable at both!
Haven't tried Capitol Grille other than breakfast and appies, but I'm sure it would be fantastic as well, though maybe not as unique or charming as some of the other spots?
I would also second Tayst! I think it's one of Tennessee's only green-certified restaurants, which is pretty cool.
