This Amber Alert was issued last night, and the Mom was just on tv pleading with the public to help find her little girl. Just in case...here's the info... A parents worst fear is realized... a young girl walks away with a stranger and hasn't been seen since.
The missing child is 10-year-old Diana Rose Windowmaker. She was last seen Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of West Maple Street in North Lansing.
Diana Windowmaker: Black 5'1" 90 lbs Her hair is shoulder length and braided.
She was wearing : A pink jacket A blue jean skirt Black stretch pants. She has a noticeable scar underneath her left eye.
She was last seen here near the Mid Michigan Leadership Academy with a man in his forties, but police don't think there was a struggle of any kind. "They had some dialog, they had a conversation," Lt. Noel Garcia of 10-year-old here who left with a much older man, there's concern there."
The superintendent of the Mid Michigan Leadership Academy tells News Ten he was in a board meeting at the time and did not hear or see anything. He worries though because vacant buildings surround the school and he's seen people take shelter there.
Police said a family friend saw Diana walk away with a man described as six feet tall, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black doo-rag under a baseball cap. "Right now we're just trying to get the information out so anyone who might come in contact with her can call us," Garcia said.
