"Off the muscle.." ??

What is with this?

Is this some new steet slang?  Am I just getting old and out of the loop?  Today I have had two different clients use this phrase and I have never heard it before.

Here is an example of how it was used -

"But, off the muscle, though, for real, do you think I am going to jail?"

Have you heard this?  lol

  • I have no clue, but whatever you do, don't google search the term and then click on the myspace page if you're at work and have speakers on your computer.

Not really sure, and this is reaching... maybe it's a slang for off the cuff?

Put it into urban dictionary and see if you come up with what I did... (think where the cuff of a sleeve is...)

But "off the cuff" doesn't mean "you know what I mean" either... I'm confused... Tongue Tied

My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.

Yeah, it is kind of reaching. Maybe it's something along the lines of, I know you weren't planning on telling me, but tell me anyway or I will use my muscle? (Since off the cuff = impromptu)

Oh I don't know. I am so not down with the lingo.

  • The sentence in the OP sounds like it means "all joking aside".
imageVisit The Nest! Love to scrapbook!
  • To me, it sounds like "off the record" - like "tell me the truth" type thing...I have no idea!  lol
  • Haha...I'm hardly the master of modern vernacular, but I can totally see the kids rolling their eyes at this group's 'toootally happenin' use of slang (and I'm no different).  =0

"Off the muscle" should usually be obvious....in context...the meaning is the same as "off the jump" "off the bat"....

It means 'from the very start'....

Now people won't be looking the fool....cus thats not what's up.,
  • This makes me feel super old! I'm definitely not up on the new slang.
