Oh, and know what I"m doing on my day off-fRiday? coming to work
to organize the behind-the-scene stuff for the regional HS mathematic's competition.
I LOVE this event. It's shoestring budget and just one day and super nerdy fun...
I make sure the answers get posted in a timely manner and that the kids get fed--the food is a challenge because the kids are all lined up getting their answers to the last question instead of for their pizzas.
I know we had to cut the prize budget though, boo!
(winning teams get basically a free community-college class worth of scholarship...encouraged to be used at, of course, math :-p)
