Comcast's "awesome" Xfinity
We just got "swapped" out for their new Xfinity. DH and I cannot tell the difference between the old service and the new service. Oh and the best thing about it... our bill is now $60 more a month. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. We're calling the dish. [We cannot survive without tv... well, DH cannot survive.] too bad we don't have other internet options around here.
Re: Comcast's "awesome" Xfinity
I agree with everyone that the DVR is da bomb. I wish that we had another option for high speed internet, but we don't. So we have to keep Comcast for that.
DH wasn't able to cancel the cable alst night because he called "too late". I would keep them if they didn't jack up our prices. The cable service is not bad itself- never goes out. But I don't like insanely high prices for it, without warning too!
Plus I don't really watch alot of tv anymore... school work takes my time.
With some utilities, you can negotiate price. Call comcast and tell them that, while you're happy with the service you're getting, you're not happy with the price. Company XYZ offers similar services for less money and you're considering going to them. I got $20 knocked off of a bill for six months once.
