Intro
Hi there,
I moved to Austin in September 2008 and after living in an apartment for 8 months, we (that's my husband and me) bought a house in SW Austin a year ago. We love it here and want to stay for a long time.
I am originally from Germany and moved to Austin from Bremen, which is in the North near Hamburg, if any of you are familiar with that.
I only found this board today, but have been on the bump since the beginning of the year.

Welcome.
We have a lot of get togethers if you are interested in meeting people. There's southies gt, book club, game night, crafting, etc.
I am hosting the book club meeting this coming Monday at my house in S Austin. If you want more info, you can check it out here: http://atxnestiebookclub.wordpress.com/. Reading the book is not mandatory for attending the book club gt's, though. There's rarely a meeting where everyone has read the last book.

My DH was born in Germany and I lived there for 15 months when I was 7 --- I loved it (what I remember anyway).
