The house I live in does not allow for us to have a real garden, so I tried my hand at putting some veggie plants in pots. Ive (much to my surprise) actually been getting some tomatos and cucumbers to grow. But....heres the problem: Im only getting a very small amount of growth in each pot (two cucumbers per vine and about the same on the tomato). I know its because the pots are too small for the roots. Can I transplant them into a bigger pot mid season or is it just best to leave as is? Id rather not kill what little I have!
Re: Veggies in pots
I use old 5 gallon buckets that you can get for $1 from a dounut shop near my house. They are so much cheaper than actual flower pots. But you do have to drill holes in the bottom, so the extra water can drain.
