mint - is it too late to plant?

is it too late to plant mint now, either from seed or a transplant? I live just north of Boston. kind of sad I didn't include it in my herb garden plans. thanks!!

Since mint is invasive, it's best to only plant it in containers.  Given that, I'd say it's fine to start it now in a container where it can have plenty of attention from you.

I agree with pp--unless you want your entire herb garden to consist of mint, only plant it in a pot!

I don't think it's ever too late to start mint; it's almost indestructible.

Mint and every variety of mint (e.g. winter-mint, spearmint, etc) takes over everything. Start with a small plant in a pot.  Mint grows like weeds, so you can start any time
