i'm glad you posted this. i got to dr. whitley west-dunham on airport rd. i like her, but i only started going to her b/c i my last doc left hsv, and i got transferred there. so i really want to find someone that i love love.

I really needed this post too. When we moved I never moved doctors so I drive home (about an hour) to see my regular. I need to find one here so that when we decide to have kids it won't be so new....I am think going to try Dr. Carlota in Athens. But I don't know of anyone who uses him.

Funny!  Someone else just posted this same exact question on the AL baby board!  Anyway, I go to Dr. Bellmont at the Clinic for Women and really like him alot.  However, if I could have Dr. Wheeler (also at the Clinic for Women) I would b/c he is AWESOME!  Everyone I know who has met him loves him.  He delivered Caleb and was beyond great!

Hey Kellie,

 I don't know if you'd be interested in this...but my doc Dr. Spangler (who is technically in Decatur) his group is opening a H'ville office due to all that crap going on with Decatur General.  Last I heard they are going to have an H'ville office and a Decatur office but any babies or surgeries will be done at H'ville Hospital.  They are opening the H'ville office I think in October.

Oh and there is also Dr. Miller...that's who my sister in law goes to.  She is in H'ville.  My SIL likes her but says she is pretty much a down to business kinda woman.

VERY Down to business kinda woman - I LOVED her as my GYN (in and out, no monkey business) but I didn't really care for her when she was acting as my OB when I had my miscarriage - I needed someone a little more hand holding than she is.

I love Dr. Callison at TN Valley OB/GYN Clinic. She takes time and really talks to you.  I had surgery on one of my ovaries and she is a great surgeon too. She is probably the most compassionate dr's I've been to. Plus her NP Amber is wonderful too!

I use Dr. Carlotta as my Gyno, but would not let him be my Ob only because he delivers at Athens and well. I prefer HSV over Athens. Other than that I like him his staff.

A co-worker's wife just had a baby and that was her doc.  She loved her!!  I have an appointment there in October.
