Re: Chattanooga recs?
ahhh!!!! i love chattanooga! i lived there for about 2 years when i was in grad school up there!
are you looking for a bed and breakfast type place????
I have an aunt there. If you want I can see what she recommends.
Ok...I would first recommend this site: http://www.chattanoogafun.com/accommodations/
And you see I have you linked directly to the accomodations page...but the whole site was helpful to me when I lived there.
As for places on Lookout Mountain, I have heard good things about the Chanticleer Inn...but I don't know much about lodging on Lookout Mountain mostly because that was obviously a touristy spot...and I lived in the valley down by the University... However, Lookout Mountain is beautiful and there is LOTS to do up there (as well as in the city of Chattanooga).
As for the Bed and Breakfasts in Chattanooga, I stayed at the Stone Fort Inn for my graduation weekend....and it was really nice. It in downtown...so you won't get that "out of the city, in the mountains" feel there, but it was nice enough. The Mayor's Mansion is right near the University pretty much in the heart of the historic neighborhood's of downtown. It is BEAUTIFUL....I always wanted to stay there. My favorite spot in downtown was the Bluff View Art District, and the Bluff View Inn (obviously) is over in that area. It is very peaceful and romantic....that would be my hot spot for romance.
I will try and remember my days there and see if I can't think of anything else.... let me know if you need anymore help! I miss that city sometimes....it is one of the most beautiful places in the South in my opinion....
yes! that would be rembrandt's at the bluff view art district:

ray ray actually went there for 40 dollars a day when she hit chattanooga....
also...greyfriars downtown....has the BEST white hot chocolate you will ever put into your mouth....omg....
