Company Holiday Party

Does your company host a holiday party? If so what are you doing and where!?

I haven't heard all of the details about ours, but so far sounds like dinner and bowling after!

That is awesome!!! It's nice that they do it after the holiday too, everyone is so busy during Dec!

  • They're doing breakfast with Santa in the confernace room on a Sat.

    Here's the killers:

You can only bring ppl in your household, so no boyfriends/girlfriends.

It's on Saturday morning, so cancel your plans baby, and for those of us who would be in Saturday working on our day off anyway...  =P

  • We have 2. One is our all employee event- were doing a buy out of amazing jakes and having a photo booth and such on a Friday so free food+games+getting paid to not be at work=score. It'll be a good time. The other is our manager and above party. It was going to be an evening black tie event at wild horse pass but we had to make a few changes. Now it's a lunch and well have games and a social responsibility project. Still fun!

  • Our company throws a huge bash here in Vegas.  This will be my first year, but I hear it is always a big party at a club or hotel on the strip with free food and drinks.  It will be in January since the company is retail (zappos.com) and we do not know where it is yet, the CEO likes to keep it a surprise until closer.  I am so excited, just in the month I have been there I have been to some awesome company sponsored events, so this should be great!

  • We do an annual holiday party at the Doubletree.  Ours is actually this Friday, and there is talk of some going bowling afterwards.

It should be a blast if I could find something to wear!

Stick out tongueThis is me sticking my tongue out at you! If I still lived in Vegas I would totally apply here!

Our Holiday party sucks. It's at the Radisson on Chandler and 54th (super classy). This year it is "Bring your spouse!", but they are giving out 2 drink tickets to the employee only and everything else is cash bar. It's not that I'm trying to sound ungrateful, but when other locations within our company have open bar and are held at nicer facilities, it's just frustrating because the CAO who is in charge of our office is super cheap. The party is also on my birthday so I guess it's not that bad. I refer to our holiday party as "Kristie's birthday party sponsored by PA"

  • My company is HUGE so they just have Christmas dinner at work. My department though, we go to Dave and Busters for half the day. They give us lunch and a card to play games and such. It's always fun because everyone waits till after 2 and we are all at the bar.

  • I work in a hospital so they don't do anything fancy.  You do get a free meal if you work the holiday though! lol

But our unit plans something just for us, at someones house - its just a simple get-together/potluck/cheap gift exchange.  I am actually hosting it this year, this weekend!

  • We own a business and are hosting ours at Cantina Laredo!

  • I work in one of the hospitals, for our unit our doc's host our party. Usually reserve a ballroom at one of the local hotels, we have dinner/drinks and dancing. some of the people get pretty wild and crazy, but everybody has fun. One of the girls hosts a raffle for fun prizes.  My DH works out of California by telecommuting, we used to fly back for his holiday party, but with the economy they've cut back from dinner/drinks and gift exchanges to now just a holiday "luncheon" of sorts.
