Re: Mass Office Gift - help me with ideas?

  • Homemade goodies are always good.  Last year I did chocolate dipped pretzel sticks (the big ones), drizzled with red and green chocolate.  I put them in cheap goodies bags and tied a ribbon at the top.

Otherwise, Dollar Tree is always a good place to buy a lot of something cheap.  This is my go-to place when I need stuff for work.

  • Have to agree again with pretzel sticks dipped and decorated. I made it twice and both times they were a huge hit.

There's also Oriental trading company website. They ship fast and have bulk stuff.

  • I agree homemade goodies are always an easy way to go.  I have also had coworkers do hot chocolate in small jars.  It's supposed to be really easy to make and it's a big hit as well.

Erin, I have to agree with the ladies as well, your new siggy is so cute.   I love it!

  • i'm just worried about the goodies idea because a few of the ppl in the office are a bit bigger.  one i really worry about because she has both heart and diabetes problems.  every time someone brings in cookies and the like, it's really hard for my coworker to resist.  and i know the last time another coworker brought in cookies it really threw her sugars out of wack.....

i just HATE doing the greeting card thing (although i know you can get them at the dollar store by the box) because like i said, i ALWAYS forget someone.  =(  grrrrrrrrrrrrrr me and my stinking memory!!!

  • I really am not trying to be rude here but it is not your responisiblity what someone else eats, if she knows eating such things will throw her sugars ot of wack she needs to do in moderation and if she doesn't that is not your responisiblity.  So if you wanted to do the treats thats fine but maybe take some sugar free something, like candies or cookies, etc. so she can enjoty and maybe not be tempted to go over board on the high in sugar stuff.

I have an aunt who is diabetic and is contantly doing and eating things she shouldn't and no matter how much we try to help her she doens't want to listen. So I know where you are coming from as far as wanting to make sure she is ok and not eating things she shouldn't but sometimes you can't help someone who isn't going to help themselves. KWIM
