Burglary of my dweling.
Yes, as I'm working away in my office, my dog is fast asleep in her bed right next to the garage door, some little punk robbed my house.
I went to get the mail, and I swear I shut the garage. We NEVER leave it open.
Just last night I hung my road bike in the garage. We normally keep in the house just so it won't get stolen. Meanwhile there are too other Trek's in there that are worth something good too, but no...
the kid got my racing bike and my gps.
The found him trying to pedal for his life and getting no where ( you need special shoes or good luck trying to ride the sucker ).
So I have my bike back! Yay!
GPS is still a goner, but they got that kid too ... though he was at home already so he probably tossed it in a field.
Atleast the bike is safe and sound... back in the bedroom. She didn't last 24 hours hung up in her new spot in the garage. ARGH!
And yes Mr. Deputy, I want to prosecute!

I am glad that you got your bike back and nothing serious happened.
My sisters 12yr old friend stayed home sick from school last week. She woke up to 2 men in the house and called her mom. Her mom told her to call the police and while she was on the phone with them, one of the men entered her room, said "Ohh SH*T" and they ran out. They got away with 3 flat screen tvs, one of them was 71". Luckily the guys were just D-Bags and not dangerous and didnt try to hurt her.

I'm sorry that happened to you. At least you got your bike back. Maybe somehow you'll get lucky and get the GPS back.

OMG! That is horrible, but I am glad you got your bike back!
So I just came from the sherrif's office and they found my GPS. The other kid confessed and told the officer where he hid the GPS.
I got both of my things back.
Thankfully.
The sheriffs were very helpful.

I'm glad you got everything back! My H seems to think that because we have a security alarm nobody will ever touch our house
I wrapped all our presents and wanted to put them under the tree but I may put them in the closet until closer to Christmas.
More and more I am realizing that the SAO, PD, and HCSO is a small community.
Like tonight the Deputy was a victim in a case H prosecuted.
In other news, H resigned and has started his own firm!

I woke up in the middle of the night and thought... my gym bag, it wasn't it my car. So I went and checked and low and behold they got my gym bag with a pair of cycling shoes and lifting gloves. Not the end of the world, but probably what they used to stash all the goodies.
Oh, they also broke into my neighbors car as well, but the kid who had my bike had it on him, and they caught him in the neighborhood, so she got it back right away.
The kid who must have gotten in my car ran and they found him near his house. He had stashed the goodies and fessed up to the cops and told him where my GPS is. Since I didn't realize he had my gym bag, I didn't ask about the shoes. They are men's trail cycling shoes, so they look like they would be a good fit for those kids probably. Until they try to walk and they have a big metal cleat on the bottom of every step.
Well, at least I got 2 out of 3 back.
