Pollish....Christmas decorations?

How long do you leave your Christmas decorations up?

I like to leave mine up until new years. H wants to take them down today! (Can you say GRINCH!!!) :)

Re: Pollish....Christmas decorations?

  • I'll be taking mine down this weekend saturday or sunday :( im so sad about it I love my tree!

  • I wanted to take ours down yesterday since we were stuck in the house b/c of all the snow.  H said I had to wait until our niece gets here.  Who knows when that'll be now.

I think I might put everything except the Christmas tree away today.

  • We usually leave ours up until January 6th or so (until the Epiphany or 3 Kings Day, whatever you want to call it). I don't understand why people want to take their decorations down so soon after Christmas. They're so pretty! :) I enjoy them for as long as I can!

  • Call me a grinch...I took them down last night!  We are in a small condo and the tree took up so much space!!!!  Plus, we got a kitten last month and I've been really nervous with him around the tree.  Usually I like to leave them up for a few days.

I know how animals and xmas trees do not mix!! We used to have a flying squirrel and I was always worried about him getting in the tree and bitting a wire. Luckily he never did but every year I was a nervous wreck!!

  • I'll take mine down on Sunday most likely. Like Joanna, I really love my tree this year and hate to take it down, but I think a week after Christmas, it's time.

  • I keep them up until new years too! I always get really sad putting all of the Christmas stuff away! Christmas never seems to last long enough!

    I love my crazy child!

  • already took them down :)
  • I also keep mine up until Epiphany (Jan 6). But, I'm going out of town then and instead of taking them down early, they'll probably stay up until I get back. I like to keep them up as long as I can - we decorate the tree Thanksgiving night and keep it up till January!

  • We usually keep them up through the first week of January.  However, this year my baby shower is the 15th and my mom's having it at my house, and H will be traveling.  They'll probably come down on Sunday.
