Turbo Tax... haha

Next year, we'll have someone else do them for our first year as homeowners but I hear it's pretty easy to do yourself..

Sometimes I do them myself on Turbo Tax, but last yr we used H&R Block & i think we will this yr too, cuz of the move & buying a house, being in 3 diff. places & mult jobs the past yr.

I pay someone do to them. He co-owns his own form and his office is in Mesa. He's very reasonable and I prefer to have him do them because I own my business and am 1099 plus I issue 1099's to my producer so it helps to have someone else help with the tax side of things

We use the same guy who has been doing my parents' taxes for years and years and years.  Like, I remember going for their tax appointments when I was a small child!  He is really great and does them for a reasonable cost.  My parents got audited one year and they said he took care of everything in regards to that.  He does it out of his house which is at the I-17 and Northern.  Let me know if you want his info!

We usually use turbo tax, but since we got married and Aiden was born we figured we would go with a tax person since DH has to do California state taxes for his job.

I do. I worked in public accounting doing taxes for 6 years. I use Ultra Tax which is a more professional tax software than Turbo Tax, etc. I learned at a seminar a couple years ago that every tax return is printed with a code on it informing the IRS which software was used. And those that were used by DIY programs were audited at a higher rate because they knew a professional wasn't preparing them so there was a greater chance of errors. Plus, we used Ultra Tax at my old firm and I find it easier to follow. I also do my parents' which is more difficult and Turbo Tax doesn't support it properly.
