Hi! Newbie here...thought I'd formally introduce myself! My name is Taryn and I am currently planning my wedding that is only 6 weeks away! I graduated from Agua Fria HS in Avondale, and the FI and I just graduated from ASU in December! I majored in Management and minored in Family and Human Development, and right now I am just taking some time off to figure out what I want to do and focus on all things wedding! I am contemplating going back to complete my major in FHDev., but we shall see! We bought a house in Surprise last year, and enjoy spending time with the future ILs (My family lives outside of Boston) and with our two pups, 3 yr old Riley, our Husky, and 2yr old Kolbie, our Goldendoodle. Nice to meet you ladies! Look forward to getting to know you all!
Re: Newbie Nestie Intro!
welcome!
where are u getting married at? how big? what does ur dress look like?
Hello and welcome!
Click Me
Thanks! We are getting married at ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe (free facility rental because we are ASU alum!), 120 people invited, but looking like we'll have about 75 attending, and my dress is an Oleg Cassini from David's Bridal! (The pic isn't me but it's the only one I could find online of the front of the dress!)
I wish I had known that, I'm an ASU alum and worked there for 5 years. do you have to use their caterer?
Welcome!
Congrats on graduation and your upcoming wedding!
That was the only requirement is that we have to use their caterer! But really the prices for their food packages were fairly reasonable to those I had seen prior to deciding on Karsten! And we are desperately trying to cut costs anywhere we can so not having to pay the facility rental fee is a blessing!
AFHS was considered the "ghetto" school when I went there but I had so many great teachers who I still talk to and made so many lifelong friends! So glad I didn't go to a more "clique-y" school! And I will definitely search for that group, thanks!
Hi nice to meet you! I live in Surprise as well and while it ias far from my friends I love it out here. Our parents are close by and so are my bil & sil.
When is your wedding? What are your colors?
We love Surprise too...with the exception of all the slow drivers this time of year. The wedding is March 19th and our colors are apple green, chocolate brown, a country blue and ivory. In fact here is the back of the RSVPs I made for a color reference! haha Sooo glad the invitation part of wedding planning is over...I don't know what I was thinking designing and printing my own invites.
Oh I totally know what you mean about the slow drivers haha hopefully they will be on their way out right after spring training is done. Oh I love your colors and those are adorable RVSP's. I bought a kit anf printed my own invites too, I think the hardest part of doing that was choosing the perfect wording for them. haha but yours look like they turned out great!
Yay for March weddings!
Welcome to the Nest side! Your dress is gorgeous! Congrats on your upcoming wedding, and your graduation.
