I've been reading up a lot on greening my cleaning routine. One book
mentioned pouring 1/2 cup (or a full cup maybe?) of white vinegar into
the toilet, scrubbing, then letting it sit for 30 mins before flushing.
It said to do this weekly to keep the toilet clean/disinfected/fresh
smelling.
Sounds easy enough to me! Does anyone do this and does it work pretty well to keep away the nasty rings in the toilet?

Re: Green cleaning toilets?
I tried it and I can't say that it worked all that fabulous.
I'm a pretty green cleaner but that didn't work for me.
Now every other week I put a couple drops of bleach in, swish and let sit until someone flushes it. Works great. I also have a Lysol toilet tab that works great. For quick cleans I just do a little bit of handsoap.
I do have a septic system and it's a non issue.
