How the heck do I get rid of these bionic rabbits?
I'm not even joking when I say i've tried everything. I've tried repellants (sprays and granules). I've tried trapping them. I put baby powder in their holes (I read somewhere that it covers their scent and they dont go back to that spot). We even started refilling the holes in with dirt. Last year we were at our wits end and DH even tried to shoot at them w/a bb gun, hoping to stun them and scare them off.
They keep coming back and are absolutely destroying our yard. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars of plants that they've eaten out of my flowerbeds. Planting stuff they dont like is useless because they are still destroying our yard.
Anything else we can do? Please tell me there is something. And whatever it is has to be pet safe because now they are doing the most damage where our dog goes potty outside.

Ha! Well we have a dog (a Schnauzer) who does chase them out of the yard, but that is not a long term solution because as soon as she comes back inside the rabbits just hop back into the yard.
Our yard is not fenced so we cannot leave the dog out all day. She gets leashed to a stake in the yard only when it's time for her to go out and potty.
I have battled voles in our yard for years--they have totally destroyed a fairly large section, so I know how you feel.
This year I'm trying smoke bombs--I assume they're carbon monoxide. Light them, put them in the hole, quickly cover tightly with dirt. So far none of the holes that I've bombed have reopened, so I'm hoping that the voles are dead.
The bombs come in two sizes, so you could use the larger one on the rabbits.

I dont know if it will work with rabbits but at the barn we have a terrible problem with ground squirrels. I know some people have purchased a high frequency sound wave device that emits a sound only small rodents can hear-so it should not bother your pup. You place the device near the area you want to protect and just plug it in. The sound should be awful enough for the bun to stay away.
