Last night was an interesting night. H and I played soccer and after the game (at around 11:30PM), a few of my coworkers and I went back to the office to decorate my TL's office for his 30th birthday. We had a good time and his office looks awesome. We filled 30 cups with 30 things each (like army men, mini koosh balls, candy, etc), we wrapped his door, hung these streamer things from the ceiling.
When H and I finally got home, I looked in the window and sitting on the steps was Petey, who had been locked into his crate! We went to check out the crate . . . and everything was latched and all the caribeaners were still in place. For the life of us, we can't figure how he got out. I'm so glad we moved him downstairs because if he got out upstairs, there would have been a huge fight b/t him and the cat. H zip tied all the joints of the crate together and we tried again. Petey did not get out last night.
Tonight, we have dog training again and H has a plane meeting and we have another soccer game that I'm probably not going to. I'm probably going to take a nap at some point because my normal bed time is ~10PM and I went to sleep at 1:30AM.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
Re: Totally Tuesday
Ugh. It is a rainy, rainy, raaaaainy Tuesday here. Doesn't help the fact that Tuesdays already blow. I dropped K off at work and just sat in the car for a while waiting for the rain to let up. After a while of it just pouring harder, I decided I had to make a break for it. Now I'm just praying to dry out before lunch time.
Last night was just another night... We watched a lil' TV, ate leftovers and did some research on tax law. Fuuuuuuuuu-uuun.
Suck it Tuesday.
My nest boards were down all the damn day yesterday.
Anyhoooooooo. Ahoy ladies.
Last night was a total bust. I got home, changed, ate and watched Army Wives, and then two friends brought their two pugs over. We are dog sitting for them from Friday until next Saturday. We sat out back for a while, then moved inside. They got there at 7 and didn't leave until after 9. We are not good friends who socialize often. I was like oh my God will these people ever LEAVE? It's a school night! They were totally content to NOT LEAVE. hahaha
So the night was pretty much shot. When they did leave we watched two L&O LA. Sayonara Skeet, the show is a lot better now.
I went to bed around 11:30 and had weird dreams.
Date night tonight. We are seeing the Curtis Institute Orchestra at the Kimmel Center (MFD's pick, scored tix from LivingSocial). We'll get something to eat before.
Dammit! I had a response all typed out and TH crashed when I submitted.
Lame work party last night so I got home later than usual. Too hot to sleep, so when DH came to bed at 3am, he woke me up. I made him turn up the fan and pull of the comforter and slept much better after that.
He thinks he's coming down with a cold, so on top of being sleep-deprived, he's cranky and staying away from me. And it's a dreary/rainy Tuesday which makes me want to be here even LESS than normal.
I am going to try and get some more sleep tonight, but it never works out.
It's rainy, and blah. Last night Jeff came home early (!) and we went to the gym together...holycrapI'moutofshape, I was dying by 15 minutes on the elliptical. Didn't help that the heat was still on in the gym, so it was 78 degrees and muggy in there. I'm glad we powered through though! Then we spent a good chunk of the evening trying to figure out our schedules for the upcoming months - most of our weekends are booked and we're getting a ton of crap for missing Easter, Mother's Day/his twin cousins' confirmation, and possibly his parents' anniversary party, so we really needed to make time to get together with a small group for his parents' 30th anniversary. I wound up having to cancel something with my family, I hope they're happy.
My sister's dog passed away and I found out yesterday afternoon. I feel terrible, it was our family dog and she took him in after she moved out of the house. She was very, very attached to him and I wish there was something I could do because I know it's hitting her really hard and she's all the way across the country. I was thinking I might send her flowers.
Today I have to give a presentation for class so I'm sitting at home to put on the finishing touches and practice it. Of course, I haven't actually done that, but I will! My boss isn't working today and I would be doing the same thing if I was sitting at my desk, so I don't feel too bad. After this I need to work on getting a poster together, I have to print it Thursday to present it Friday. Eeep. I don't know when I'm supposed to be doing REAL work!
I'm going to be optimistic about today and say it's one day closer to Friday and to seeing Jeremy again. I've never been one to be like this before when he's away but I've slept like crap the past two nights so really ready to see him. Andplusalso, beach trip with the besties and then a night of fun for my bff's bachelorette party. I'm super excited about her signature drink (cotton candy martini) and found the cutest martini bridal glass last night.
That was about all I did...surfed the internet, paid some bills, and watched some tv. Ate a salad for supper and called it a night.
I'm thinking about ditching work early this afternoon after my meetings and going to get the lingerie for said bff's shower this weekend.
I am cranky as hell this week. I have raging PMS.
EMiLee-I hate forced coworker socialization in the form of lame work parties.
Greg didn't have to work last night is was sooo nice to be able to eat dinner with him and see him when I got home from work instead of late night.
We grilled out watched some TV. Started watching the sox game and turned it off in like the 3 inning,. I'm a Ray's fan too I mean we share partial season tickets. I'm just not a Ray's fan when they play my sox!
I do get to leave work early today. They are coming to clean out our gutters and when they came on Sunday to look at them Pierce flipped out and the guy thought Pierce was going to jump through the window and eat him. lol.. Pierce I'm pretty sure would lick and play with a robber but he is definitly protective of his house.
happy tuesday!!!!!

Hola chicas.
Bummed that there are no B&J's in the area...I'd be totally digging the free ice cream this morning. So far I've changed the sheets on the bed, washed the dirty ones, and did the grocery shopping and put it all away. Meeting the pediatrician in about 45 minutes, then a couple more errands and NST this afternoon.
Really should go close the windows but I'm so damn hot the coolness feels good. 3 more days...and I want a nap.
Last night after getting home from work, H and I took our dog down the street to the park, we let her run in the tennis courts and she went BSC running. We were good up until this other couple and their border collie started barking like crazy and showing teeth when they walked by. Needless to say, this got our dog worked up (she didn't get out of the gated tennis court, thank god) and she was uninterested in retrieving her rope toy or squeaky ball. So we called it a night, walked home and ordered Round Table for dinner (since I had no meat defrosted). H and I got into a little spat too, but we ended up working it out so we're all good.
stef - I also hate raging PMS...can't control my emotions sometime but I have to admit since being off BCP, I've been managing it better but still.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Morning! I came into the office a little early today because I'll have to leave in about half an hour for a dental appointment, oh what fun! I've been putting off that appointment for about a month now so I decided to suck it up and just go.
I really don't have much more to add.
Toby had basketball last night. Then we were home to eat and shower and head to bed. I was zonked by 10.
Today I have a nail appt. Tomorrow parent teacher conferences. Thursday is softball meeting. Friday we have a show.
So tired today, but it is beautiful out again. I closed the restaurant the last three nights in and row, plus I opened (yes, opened and closed) yesterday and am going in to open this morning (on my day off). One of the girls I work with is helping her FI's family in Wisconsin as they lost their house Sunday night in one of the tornadoes that hit. Their area was hit horribly hard.
Yesterday DH's office starting cutting hours of the office, advertising and mail staff. DH is worried, but the managing editor told him that he has nothing to worry about. Lets hope this is true.
dfkjrtue*wn&fs#&(vnr!@^(*^eht <--- thats how my day is going.
Its ugly and rainy here and I have a ton of work to do. I'm also PMSy and cranky. I want chocolate.
Two of my coworkers were just super nice though. They gave me a birthday card saying how much they appreciate me and a $25 gift card to Target.

Deb, I was at the dentist today, too! Ick, do not like. I have dental PTSD because my baby teeth didn't fall out on their own, so my childhood dentist yanked a bunch out at once. I didn't have front teeth for a year!
My dad tells this story of seeing me eating corn on the cob, and all of a sudden realizing that must have been hard without teeth, but I hadn't been complaining. He asked how I did it, and I responded in a very whiny voice, 'it's pretty hard!'
Other than that, it's a good day and week so far. Work is busy, which I prefer to slow. Off to a bunch of meetings...
It's your birthday?!? Happy Birthday! Sorry it's going so crappy...but yay for nice co-workers giving you surprise gifts. :-)
WTF??? Was the dentist a crackpot?
Better - a family friend! I had to call him Uncle Hal. He did the same to his own son, so he probably was a crackpot.
It was Sunday, but today was their first day back. Thank you!

Haha, I have like shark teeth. All my adult teeth in the front grew in behind my baby teeth. I think I had to have a total of 12 baby teeth pulled. (Plus four wisdom teeth later on). On the plus side, all my adult teeth were already there once the baby teeth got pulled. I also have two mini teeth behind my adult teeth now. They're actually like calcium deposits or something. I've had several dentists tell me that I should volunteer to be a subject at a dental school because I have the most pronounced case of whatever it is any of them have ever seen. Next time I go to the dentist, I'll need to ask the name.
