Loropetalum, Physocarpus, or Weigela?

I need a shrub with red/purple foliage, and I'm torn. I thought for sure I would be buying a Ninebark (Physocarpus), but I'm becoming indecisive as my garden is taking shape.

Which's your favorite? Please don't say barberry.

    I have a love hate relationship with my loropetalum. It's pretty when it blooms, but I'm not always sure how I feel about it's arching branches. I think I'd like it better if it had a mounding habit. Where are you putting the shrubs?

    Where are you putting the shrubs?
    It will go in my mixed shrub border. I'm selling my largest rhodo because it's getting too much sun since the trees came down last year.
