I got my BFP a little over 2 weeks ago and had my first appointment today. The ultrasound went well, things looked good according to the doctor. Has anyone delivered at B-Thunderbird or have any personal experiences to share??

I know one of the ER doctors there, and he has nothing but good things to say about that hospital.

i delivered ds there and dd will be delivered there also. who's your ob?

my experience with the actual labor/delivery area were great. everyone was very nice and attentive. my complaints were regarding the lactation consultant (she was horrible), and the fact that they couldn't get me a breast pump for almost 72 hours. all in all everything was fine and i don't have any reservations really about delivering there again. they also have an excellent nicu

The labor and delivery nurses were fantastic! We had a very positive experience there, but our issues were when we got to our actual room after delivery. We had a horrible nurse who must have thought it appropriate to scare the bejeezus out of first time parents. She was rude, and her bedside manners were aweful. Pushed formula on us like crazy, and made us think our baby was going to die in the middle of the night if we took our eyes off of him...he had some fluid in his mouth, which is completely normal, we now know. But, that could have just been us. Like I said, our labor and delivery nurses were amazing!

it's very possible we had the same pp nurse! haha! but there are bad nurses at every hospital. you can always request a new one if you don't like yours. last time i didn't have the balls to, but this time you're damn right i will!!

Ditto! That was part of the reason I only stayed one extra night...I wanted out of there so badly that my doctor let me leave early. The nurse came in, turned the lights on, moved Blake so he was facing us, and told us to watch him so he wont choke to death.    This time, I know better.  But I absolutely loved the delivery nurses, and that was more important to me. I moved to Chandler, so I will be at Chandler Regional this time around.

MH wants us to just stick with who we are seeing now, Im not so sure.  I have read and heard so many good things about desert west I want to give it a try. We'll have to talk it over more.

I see Dr. Goad at Desert West and I LOOOOVE her! I would totally recommend her!

love desert west! i see desalvo, but have seen koon also (he's the cute one, lol) and he was really awesome too.

I LOVED Desert West too! Dr. Tom was amazing! Dr. Koon was on call when I delivered.
