Mystery Plant?

I just noticed a plant growing and I have no idea what it is.  It seems to be some sort of fruit or vegetable.  I searched google and think it might be a cantaloupe the leaves are very large but I am not sure.  Any ideas?" mce_src="">

I'm actually not good with plant ID - however, it looks like rhubarb, especially with the thick stems.

It's burdock a weed.  Dig up the roots as best you can.  Rhubarb would have red stems even when they are young.

I looked up burdock and none of the pictures look like the plant I have.  The stems are very thick.  You probably know much better than I so thanks for the reply I will dig it out.

That's because the pictures are probably of the flowers/thistles which it hasn't shot up yet.  Here's a link with a picture of the foliage.
