I know just about nothing about plants. I bought a new planter for my front lawn this year, though and wanted perennials so that I didn't need to plant new things in there every year. I bought Black Eyed Susans because I love the look of them and because they were labeled as perennials. They're dying now and I just did some googling to make sure they'll come back next year because otherwise I want to plant some mums or something there for the rest of the season. Everything I'm seeing now says that they're biennials and that they only flower in the second year, meaning now the plants are at the end of their life cycle.
Anyone know anything about these? Should I take them out and plant something else there?
Re: Black Eyed Susans?
They'll come back.
And depending on the variety, you may have a ton of seedlings next year as well.
