Re: toy ? for toddler moms
Play kitchen! Lily was around 18 months the year she got her kitchen and she has probably played with it every.single.day. Or, if Santa's bringing a kitchen, then some stuff to go with the kitchen would be perfect.
I'm trying to think of other ideas, and it's amazing how fast I forget. Gawd, I hope I'm not alone in that.
Ok, I went back to the blog to help the memory. She really, really loved puzzles during her second year. She got a set a of puzzles with pegs for her first birthday, but I don't think they lasted too long. They were a good start, but she grew out of them quickly. In retrospect, I don't think we would've picked a whole set of them. Just one or two, and then get real puzzles later.
Blocks, too, of course. Those are fun for a long time. She used to just bang them together, and now she builds castles and houses.
You can never go wrong with books. And art stuff. Crayons, paints, play doh.
And pretty much anything to do with pretend play. Dolls with strollers and high chairs, or stuff animals instead of dolls.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
Macy is obsessed with books. Like for real, omg she doesn't go anywhere without a book in her hand. And if she is being a PITA all I have to say is "you wanna read a book" and problem solved! Well, not always but most of the time.
I think for Macy's second birthday we are going to get her a trampoline. I know it sounds bizarre but our friends have one and she absolutely loves the thing.
Baby Macy is here!

Yep, a play kitchen. Alana plays with hers every.single.day. Also, pots, pans, and food to go with it. She loves anything she can push around the house and fill with her treasures (shopping cart, baby stroller, etc). She is also really into her baby dolls and books and always takes one with her.
For Christmas she is going to get a baby stroller, dress up clothes (since she is always putting my stuff on), and for her birthday we are going to get her an outside play set.
I am clueless about boys though! Sorry!
my read shelf:
Remembering how much she liked that, I got my cousins kid a tent for her birthday. I couldn't find the same one. This one looked like a ladybug. It has tunnels to crawl out of, which she finds lots of fun.
Yeah I think a tool bench would be good. I've been looking at those along with kitchens
They are in a throwing stage right now... We have puzzles with the wooden pegs attached to them for easier grasping, but they all of a sudden start whipping them everywhere (and those things hurt!) and we have to take the puzzles away... sigh
They love books. Brooke wants to read the same one - over.and.over.and.over.again...
Mason likes blocks - build/destroy/build/destroy. He is so boy!
