I'm China bound in 10 weeks and 3 days!! I hope it goes by fast. Any suggestions for things I should take for a flight that long, or for my 9 hour lay over in LAX?

how exciting! I would try to sleep for a lot of the flight, but I hate flying
I also hope the next 10 weeks and 3 days go by fast becuase one of my best friends who I haven't seen in over 10 years is coming to visit that day too
Ok I got a travel pillow last night. I already have a small throw blanket to take. I plan on figuring out when I need to sleep on the flight so when I arrive I wont be tired since I get in at 11:10am. I dont have a kindle so maybe I'll just take a new book maybe two. I'm glad you reminded me about snacks. I always forget to buy stuff after security for the plane, so I have added it to my list. I keep debating if I should take my laptop to watch movies on. Part of me doesnt want to just so I dont have to deal with it but the other part thinks I should for entertainment. I dont have a smart phone either so maybe I'll just take a book with wordsearch, crosswords and sudoku. I have a tendency to over pack so I'm going to do my best to not over pack so I have room to bring stuff back. I'm thinking one carry-on with a spare outfit and all the importent things I can't lose and one checked bag with my clothes and one empty checked bag to bring stuff back in. I read on the customs and boarder patrol website its better to pack things you are bring back separate from what you took with you.
