Hockey & Ice Skating Moms ...
what do you rec for "1st time" skates for a toddler (3 yr old) ...
I know double runners are good to start ...
My brothers (hockey players) seem to think he needs the best of the best (CCM or Bauer) and I am sort of thinking lets get a less expensive pair for NOW to see how he even LIKES it ... am I wrong?
I see a brand called "American, Little Rockets" ???
Thanks!

Re: Hockey & Ice Skating Moms ...
we just got the ones at Dicks. At the age of three I really dont think it matters, I mean I dont even think my kids had thebalance to even skate at three, If they think he needs the best let them buy it!
Let me ask....if we go to a rink for a free skate, will the skate's we rent for him have double runners???
I am fairly certain once of us are going to break a hip, but we have to go soon. J is trying to be adventurous and wants to go to Open Skate at the arena. I think he's out of his mind since neither of us have skated in YEARS!!!!!
we have Bauers for Travis only b/c they were hand me downs. I woudln't go top of the line until he decides if he wants to stick with it or not. In the beginning they only skate once or twice a week if I remember.
As they get older and spend more time on the ice then you lean more towards better quality vs. more money.
