Non traditional breakfast ideas?
Ava is hit or miss with waffles, French toast, French toast sticks, cereal, bagels, English muffins, etc
She won't eat oatmeal
This morning I gave her celery and peanut butter with a few chocolate chips. She liked it and thought it was fun
I need more non traditional breakfast ideas!
Re: Non traditional breakfast ideas?
Cold pizza - Corey's favorite.
I made a potato turkey sausage casserole in the crockpot. Can't remember if it was Melissa, Laki's or some other one! Thats a big hit.
Apple Bread, Banana Bread, Choc. Chip Muffins (any kind of muffins especially little bites) with a Yogurt stick.
Nutragrain bar
DS is pretty good with breakfast.
Try breakfast pizza on the weekend... pizza crust with scrambled eggs on top with any kind of toppings (cheese, ham, etc).
M's favorite breakfast is "ants on a granola bar". A crunchy granola bar with peanut butter on top and raisins on top of that.
I also pinned a recipe for a "breakfast cookie" which is oats, a super ripe banana, unsweetened applesauce, craisins (though I may use raisins) and cinnamon. Seems healthy enough for a quick breakfast on the go.
ETA: And they are big fans of pumpkin and banana bread. That's extra good because he loves to bake it with me on the weekends.
Her fav these days is cottage cheese with pineapple. She scarfs it up!
What about trying smoothies?
Not a newbie, but, had to create a new account - formerly LBR_NJ
My Blog - "Helping Make Sense"
we often do smoothies as an after dinner dessert
This is what we've done:
Cereal, Bread w/ Nutella, bagels w/ Cream Cheese, Fruit Salad, Carrots & Dip, Breakfast sausage links, smoothie, yogurt, farina, toast & mascarpone cheese, pasta (i was making my lunch and she wanted it).
As long as they eat something that isn't candy or pure sugar I'm ok with it.
