this batch was 200 for 5 min...i tried putting the m&m in it..but the chocolate isn't melted at all. i made them about a month ago and they came out perfect, no trouble at all..not sure what is going on. would old chocolate be an issue? the first time i bought hershey kisses that day..this time we've had this chocolate around for awhile, maybe from christmas 2010! lol

  • Good to know - I am going to try and make these for Tuesday.

  • They take a long time at 170, more like 15 minutes.  I just pull them out and try ti press an m&m in, it not ready back in the oven they go.

  • Are you making the melted chocolate on waffle pretzels? I always use chocolate chips. Put the chip in plastic zip loc bag. Throw in microwave for 15 second or so..do it in small increments so you don't burn. Cut small piece of bag and pipe onto pretzels. Add decorations and refrigerate
  • actually, i put them back in like two times....  so all together it was probably 15 minutes, but I kept taking them out to test, to make sure they dont totally melt into a liquified mess.... so yes, it definitely was more than 5 minutes.
  • i just made them last night, I also added some sprinkles & sugar crystals
