How was everyone's day? Did you celebrate it?
We normally don't (or at least we don't make a super huge deal out of it). This year Rob brought his mom some tulips, a huge bouquet of orange roses for me, and Bean a little Teddy bear from publix which she immediately named "Kisses." Ha. Best of all, Rob and I booked our trip to Chicago. Best Valentines Day ever.
Re: Valentines
We don't celebrate in the gift giving way, though we do exchange cards.
Last night we cooked a nice meal together and ate while watching Glee. That's love.

That is exactly what we did! Perfection.
Also, my H didn't bother with flowers - instead, he brought me a quart of the Coldstone ice cream I've been craving lately. He wins Valentine's Day in my book.

So fantastic.
We watched a little bit of Glee (we can't really get into it) and instead watched Matt Bomer videos on youtube.
My husband hijacked my blog. You might've thought I'd have figured it out when he texted me asking for my gmail password. It was very sweet.
Other than that, we did the same cheesy thing we did last year -- we had a "valentine's dance" at home. The dance part of it lasted for just a few songs, and then Lily melted down because we wouldn't fling her around in circles anymore. So it was short, but still silly and fun.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
His blog post was the sweetest thing ever! Those words are better than ANY gift in the world!

Nothing. Not even a card. We were both grouchy. Didn't make for a fun valentines day.
We don't celebrate anyways, but last night was less than stellar.
It was super sweet, though it took me a minute to figure out what was going on. Something about you falling for a cute girl had me lost. You've got a wonderful husband there.
As for us, we just ordered some Indian food for takeout and watched the Harold and Kumar Christmas movie. This is actually the first year that DH bought me a present. He got me perfume while he was in the U.K. It was sweet, but he also bought my scented lotion and shower gel as my "missed you" gift while he was away so I had to ask him if he was trying to tell me something.
Awww that's sooo sweet! Off to blog stalk!
H worked so Amelia and I went to Target and made him a picture card, and a collage frame of her newborn pics. And I made a cute video of her and showed him and he teared up watching it. (DON'T tell!!) He hates working and missing her smiles, as I'm sure I will when I go back.
ETA here's my AW of the day...my sweet baby on Valentines Day (if this link works)

I loved the blog post too. That was so sweet of him!
H surprised me by going out at the crack of dawn and getting me my favorite breakfast sandwhich from the bagel place down the street. He also gave me cards (one from him, one from the cats..) and a box of chocolates. We went out to dinner which was nice, especially since a lot of times on weeknights he works really late and we don't get to see eachother that much. I gave him a little baby onesie that said Daddy's Rookie and looks like a baseball uniform.
