If your 3 yr old is in a 10 month pre-school program

...what are you doing with them for the summer? The Y camp starts at 4. There's another camp by us that I'm considering but, well, I considered it last year (it's literally 2 minutes away)...and, I went with the much further away Y camp for a reason.

Any ideas? They need to be gone the majority of the day but, I do work from home, so I have *some* flexibility.

 Thanks.

  • Back to our old daycare
  • I wasn't planning on doing anything much for the summer. I feel like these years when J isn't scheduled out the ying yang with other people are going away soon, so we'll do what we did last summer, swim lessons, time at the pool, maybe story time, and play dates with friends, but stuff for us to mostly do together. He's got his whole childhood life for camps and playing without me. I'd rather enjoy these last few "baby" years before they're gone for good. (FTR I don't work so his school is just that, school not child care) HTH G

They go to school because I work...so, unfortunately, just hanging with them isn't an option. I wish it was!

  • mine are in regular daycare now so they go there during the summer.

the twins might get into a 10-month program in our town, and if they do I'll likely hire my niece to nanny them during the summer - i'll only need 1.5-2.5 days of care for them since I work part time.  This is my plan for my older son, too, when he starts K next year.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • he will either go to old daycare or another child care facility in town.
